    I am so sorry to hear about everything the people in Vieques had to endure. My heart goes out to them. When visiting the island if I plan to spend a day there, do you recommend that I do a car rental? If so, are there any agencies you recommend on the island? Do you happen to have a ball park for the pricing as well?

    Actually you don’t need a real ID driver’s license to go to Puerto Rico. You’ll only need one beginning may 7, 2025. The Puerto Rico government is spending millions of dollars to let people know about that. Whatever your immigration situation is, if you have a REGULAR driver’s license, you’re good. I work at an immigration law office and I know many many people in different immigration situations that went there and it was all good. Another note is that a Puerto Rican friend told me that USCIS officials oftentimes would ask for your passport because they don’t even know that it’s not a requirement. You just tell them that Puerto Rico is a US territory and you’re good to go.

You can visit the beaches in Arecibo where there was the biggest Radio Telescope. You can even go horseback riding. You will see people riding on horseback in the streets of Puerto Rico especially on the highways.

    Is digital payments popular in stores there?

    • @BriksTravelGuides
      @BriksTravelGuides 2 месяца назад

      Hey! It’s way more popular now after covid because of contactless payments. My general perception is that 80% of places accept some sort of digital payment method like Apple Pay or contactless cards. There might be small vendors that accept a payment method called ATH Movil, but that is only reserved for Puerto Rico bank accounts.

    Sounds like another country where you, CUSTOMER, have to pay for the EMPLOYEE salary because the employer doesn't want to pay the salary: "Where is my tip" How many times have I heard that in the US. It's stupid. US bosses should pay, not customers...This is stupid. I try to avoid "US destinations" as much as i can due to the ridiculness of the "tip" d ictatorship... If you pay a bill, it should be all inclusive .
